Principle Owner

Yaletown Accounting was established in 2006 by Fatima Nanji. Having worked in large accounting departments for many years, she realized that there was a distinct need for taxation help. She decided to put her technical skillset to good use and help clients – big and small – in the downtown Vancouver area that require expert insight.

Maria
Petkau

Office Manager

Maria moved to Vancouver from Mexico in 2016, bringing a passion for organization and problem-solving. She is a graduate of a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) specializing in Management. At Yaletown Accounting, Maria supports daily operations, manages workflow, and assists the tax and accounting teams to keep things running smoothly and on track. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Vancouver’s Mexican food scene and watching movies with her husband and their cat.

Athwal

Accounting Assistant

Navdeep is an undergraduate student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business, specializing in accounting. She brings strong communication and organizational skills, along with a willingness to learn and grow. Navdeep is committed to developing new technical skills and applying classroom concepts to practical work as she continues to grow professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, spending time with family and friends, and organizing spaces.

Manjot Dhaliwal

Accounting Assistant

Manjot is a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business, specializing in accounting. She is attentive to detail and highly motivated, with plans to pursue her CPA designation in the future. Manjot enjoys supporting the accounting team and building her technical skills. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, running, and playing board games with friends and family.

Alexandra Lemming

US Tax Administrator

Alexandra came to Vancouver in 2010, originally from Southampton, England. She is an accountant with 10 years of experience making sense of numbers others would ignore. She is a wizard with spreadsheets, and firmly believes coffee is a legitimate business expense. When she isn't balancing books, you can find her dominating the local pickleball courts.

Office Assistant

Sophia is our multitasking office assistant who can answer phones, book meetings meanwhile planning her next vacation. When she's not keeping the office in order, she's teaching gymnastics, keeping up with her soccer and spending time with her Husky, Moshi.
